Flagstaff's Burgeoning Creative Culture
When you think of Flagstaff, Arizona, what comes to mind? Most might answer the beautiful densely forested mountain scenery, or maybe the winter sports, or even the amazing local farmers markets. However, one aspect of this humble mountain town that might be overlooked is it's burgeoning music and arts scene. With the Northern Arizona University campus in close proximity, Flagstaff's historic downtown has an infusion of youth and creativity that translates to local bars, restaurants, and venues benefiting from quality regular live local music and a growing monthly "First Friday" event that will make you feel like you're in a much larger city!
If you're in the market for Flagstaff real estate, not only will you experience the comforts of a small town with amazing scenery, you'll also have the option to go downtown for good food, a tasty drink, and both national and local acts performing almost any night of the week!
One of the most iconic venues in downtown Flagstaff is the storied Orpheum Theater. It is the largest and most well known hub for concerts, film screenings, and events in Flagstaff and was originally built in 1911. Since being renovated in 2002, it now features a full bar and lounge, a state of the art sound system, plush seating and a large balcony.
If your interest has been sufficiently peaked and are in the area searching for Flagstaff real estate, or perhaps just visiting Flagstaff to get away from the heat of Phoenix, check out the following events coming up in the next week at the fabled Orpheum Theater!
